INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING
PTEAZER™
COWL-INDUCTION POWER HOOD
IMPORTANT:
Be sure to test fit all parts to the vehicle before painting
as PTEAZER™
will not be responsible for the painting on a defective part
that must be returned.
STEPS:
. REMOVE EXISTING WINDOW WASHER NOZZLES. Disconnect hoses with
long nose needle pliers. (Do not discard)
· REMOVE ORIGINAL HOOD
· ALWAYS TEST FIT NEW PARTS PRIOR TO PAINTING (Minor
adjustments may be required)
· MOUNT PTEAZER HOOD TO ORIGINAL HINGES
· REMOVE ORIGINAL HOOD LATCH AND MOUNT TO PTEAZER HOOD.
· CHECK FOR SATISFACTORY FIT
· WHILE HOOD IS OFF CAR, INSTALL WINDSHIELD NOZZLES ONTO
COWL PANEL (Plastic cover below windshield)
· Remove windshield wipers
· Remove cowl panel (care must be taken not to damage
original clips)
· Position windshield nozzles (See Template Attachment
) or click to download template
Drill two (2) small holes with 1/8 inch bit, using template
provided on Attachment A, duplicating shape of holes on original
hood. Care must be taken not to make holes too big.
The first hole should be located almost in the center of the
windshield and angled slightly to the passenger side, approx
½ inch from the edge of the cowl panel and next to the
wiper mount.
The second hole should be placed thirteen (13) inches from the
first, and pointing at the driver, ½ inch from the edge
of the cowling. Plug existing hoses into nozzles and reinstall
cowl panel and wipers.
· THOROUGHLY SAND AND PREPARE FOR PRIMER AND PAINT using
a high quality automotive primer and paint. Fiberglass parts
require detail work and will need to be sanded down thoroughly.
· PAINT HOOD
· INSTALL HOOD
