INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PART # PZG107/PZF139U & PZG108/PZF139U
SERIES 040302
TOOLS REQUIRED
FOR INSTALLATION:
7mm Socket
10mm Tube Socket
13mm Socket
Ratchet & Extensions
Pliers or Clip Remover
*The Fascia
and Fascia are made from high quality urethane.
NOTE: Urethane
parts should not subjected to baking ovens as they may warp or
lose their original shape. Urethane parts should be air dried
only. BAKING OVENS WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES.
TEST FIT ALL PARTS BEFORE PAINTING.
STEPS:
1. REMOVE FACTORY GRILLE: Using a 7mm Socket, remove factory grille
four screws at the top of the grille, then push grille down from
top and at the same time pull forward. (Do not discard the screws;
you will need them when reinstalling the PTeazer grille.)
2. Using 7mm Socket remove the three screws on splashguard and
edge of factory bumper. Repeat on both sides. Remove three screws
on bottom of scuff strip where fastened to lower radiator support
panel. Also remove the two screws at grille opening (where grille
mounts).
3. On both sides of bumper, where it meets the fenders, remove
two 10mm nuts using a 10mm tube socket.
4. Pull splash guard back, reach in and DISCONNECT FOG LIGHTS.
On left side by fog lamp, remove speed clip on splashguard.
5. Bumper Cover is now ready to be removed.
6. REMOVE ORIGINAL REINFORCEMENT: Use 13mm Socket to remove bolts.
(Save bolts for installing the PTeazer reinforcement.)
7. TRIM FRAME RAILS: Before cutting, be sure to hold PTeazer Smoothie
Front Fascia in place, you will be able to see where the cuts
need to be made on both sides for clearance. On outermost upper
part of the frame rail, measure 1-1/4" back from front of
frame rail and make a mark parallel to front of rail. Cut with
Die Grinder or Saws All.
8. To INSTALL THE PTEAZER REINFORCEMENT BAR, place into position
with plates over ends of rails, which were cut. Now weld to rail
on all three edges. Note: Reinforcement should be mounted with
bar to bottom of mounting brackets as pictured above.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS REMEMBER DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE WELDING.
9. Using the original bumper cover lower fasteners, ATTACH SCUFF
STRIP TO PTEAZER FASCIA. (OPTIONAL)
10. You are now ready to fit your PTeazer Fascia using exactly
the same screws from your stock bumper. INSTALL PTEAZER FRONT
FASCIA to existing bumper cover mounting locations. (This may
require two people to ensure correct installation. Minor adjustments
may be necessary.)
Note:
Some fascias may require cut outs in the plastic scuff-strip to
clear the two outermost bolt heads located on the bottom of the
radiator support. Try fitting part first before making cuts.
Note:
Sometimes, due to factory assembly variations, headlamps may need
to be adjusted down slightly if there is a gap between the fascia
and lamps.
11. When satisfied with fit, REMOVE PTeazer Fascia and scuff-strip.
(Remember to test fit fog lights prior to final paint, as some
adjustment may be needed).
12. Follow PAINT Instructions below. REINSTALL fog lights and
spoiler.
13. REINSTALL Fascia. Connect fog lights.
14. Once the fascia is fitted you can now slip your new PTEAZER
GRILLE in place. This grille will locate at the bottom of the
fascia and at the same points as the stock grille.
